Spring 2013

It’s amazing to realize that we’re into the fifth month of 2013.  I hope the year to date has been prosperous and good for you and business.  We are excited to be growing and serving as a strategic communications partner with more and more thriving businesses in Portland and the greater Pacific Northwest.   I recently had the opportunity to spend a week in St. Louis at the American Copy Editors Society’s annual conference.  It was terrific to be there to provide onsite PR assistance as well as take in the experience of the event itself.  Serving as an integrated extension of our client teams is something we take great pride in doing well.

Thanks for the continued partnership. Here’s to a wonderful spring!

The American Copy Editors Society held its annual conference in early April in St. Louis.  With a special focus on the issue of plagiarism and fabrication, the event drew in more than 370 attendees – a six-year high – and garnered strong national and local media attention, including an interview with CBS News during the conference.

Kim Hormby, owner of Stay Pet Hotel and pet industry consultant, talks about whether or not daycare is right for your dog in the May issue of Spot Magazine. Read it here.

Kush Handmade Rugs held a special event on the art of Afghan rug making in April.  The evening featured guest speakers Zubair and Zabi Ahmadi - members of the renowned rug-making family - who shed insight into the struggles and successes associated with the Afghan rug making industry and how they have transformed an old-world craft.  Read about the event in Portland Mercury's MOD blog.

Summer is around the corner which means we’re busy planning this year’s concert series at Aspen Ridge Resort. Already on the books for July 13 is the popular Northwest country duo Cloverdayle.

We’re excited to be working with more amazing companies including Kush Handmade Rugs, Flourish, DataSafe, Community Vision and ProKarma.

We’re moving (downstairs)!  To accommodate our growth, we’re moving from the fourth floor of the Bullier Building to the second. We expect to be in the new space in early June.
